Church Stretton is at the heart of the Long Mynd’s 5,000 acres of Heather covered moorland owned by the National Trust, a designated area of Outstanding Natural beauty. Visitors find themselves relaxed and refreshed by its unspoilt beauty which provides walking from a gentle stroll to strenuous hikes for the serious rambler. It is a friendly shopping town with a good variety of traditional shops to browse around giving old fashioned personal service with a small street market on Thursdays. There are several antique shops that could occupy any afternoon.
